Accommodation
Khodiyar Mandir has achieved a global presence. Every year the temple sees devotees of Khodiyar Ma traverse long distances to visit her shrine. Due to this high rush of pilgrims, the Trust has started 2 Dharamshalas within the temple premises for the goddess’s devotees. Both the Dharamshalas have 4 large halls, which can accommodate a total of 100 beds, for the tariff Rs. 50 per bed. There are about 35 rooms available in the Dharamshalas from which some are AC and some non-AC. The AC rooms are available at the cost of Rs. 300 per night and non-AC rooms for Rs. 250 per night. The Trust provides all these facilities at a nominal cost for the devout followers of Khodiyar Ma.
Food
It is the belief of the Shri Khodiyar Mandir Trust that no hungry individual should be turned away. The pilgrims that come to the shrine can eat at the Bhojanalaya, free of cost. Everyday from 10am to 3pm for lunch and 7pm to 9pm for dinner, the Khodiyar Bhojanalaya in the temple premises, feeds upto 3000 people. On days of important festivals, this number increases almost tenfold as 25000 people are fed a full vegetarian meal, cooked in the temple kitchens. For those who wish to cook their own meals, the Trust provides a separate kitchen area with utensils and 15 stove units. Food is for all.
Amusement
The Khodiyar Temple is located on the bank of the Tataniya Dharo Lake, a popular spot for picnics. Besides that there is also a Holy Pond within the temple premises. A garden has been fitted with a play area for the entertainment of children. Also, there is a cable car facility available to reach the hilltop, from where a wonderful, bird’s eye view of the temple can be seen.
Souvenirs
The Shri Khodiyar Mandir Trust has set up a small shop that sells few souvenirs. Besides basic puja materials such as nariyal and prasad, there are also silver and gold coins of Khodiyar Ma. The Trust has strived to publish a booklet that charts the history and legends of Mataji and the Khodiyar Temple, which spreads awareness about the goddess.
